Every year, hundreds of fourth-grade students embark on an unforgettable journey to Bald Head Island, North Carolina, to explore Old Baldy, the state's oldest standing lighthouse. This field trip offers a unique educational experience, blending history, science, and the beauty of nature.
About the Scholarship Program
The Old Baldy Foundation proudly supports the Lighthouse Learners Scholarship Program, which provides funding for ferry tickets and admission fees for fourth-grade classes visiting Old Baldy Lighthouse. Our scholarship awards up to $800 to qualifying North Carolina classrooms.
Eligibility Criteria:

Preference is given to Title I schools, but other schools may also qualify.
