Join us for the 2025 Soup Cook-Off, a fun and flavorful event supporting the Old Baldy Foundation’s Lighthouse Learners Program! This event helps raise funds for the program, which provides every 4th grader in Brunswick County with a free field trip to Bald Head Island to explore Old Baldy, the state’s oldest standing lighthouse. Your participation will ensure that over 1,000 students can experience this unique educational journey that blends history, science, and nature.
Competition Registration:

Deadline to Register: Friday, December 27th at 5 PM

All competitors must provide their full recipe for inclusion in the Old Baldy Foundation’s Cookbook, which compiles recipes from islanders throughout the years.

Competitors are required to bring 2-3 gallons of soup to ensure there is plenty for tasting and judging.

Old Baldy will provide tasting supplies, but each team must bring their own serving vessels, heat source, and decorations.
