Chris Webb was raised in the Hudson Valley of New York. She relocated to Bald Head Island by way of Lexington, KY to be closer to family living in Hampstead, NC. Her love of the beach, sailing and waterfront living brought her to Bald Head Island as a full time resident in 1999. Chris has been very active contributing to the community of Bald Head Island. She served on the Board of Directors of The Old Baldy Foundation, Inc. taking over as President from 2006 until 2016 when she was hired to become the Executive Director.

After working in the engineering field as a civil designer for 15 years, Christy decided to follow her passion for history and received a bachelor’s in European History from Southern New Hampshire University, and a master’s in Public History. She worked as an interpreter at Walnut Grove Plantation in Moore, SC. Christy has a daughter, a son, and a grandson. In her spare time, she loves to read, sew, and collect antique and vintage dolls, and is a huge Star Wars fan. She lives in Brunswick County with her calico cat, Cosette.
Jake Grossman is a historian from Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love and sisterly affection. He graduated from Temple University with an undergraduate in history and later a MA in Public History. His main focus is the American Revolution but loves to talk/ learn about any history. Outside of history he is interested in any sport you can think of. He plays ice hockey, cricket, surf, golf, run, bike, and spends too much time watching football( go birds), and finally basketball.

Adriana earned her Bachelor's in Geography from the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!), where she cultivated a love for exploring the connections between people and places. She has spent the last few years living, learning, and working in London, where she received a Master's in Museum Studies from the University of Westminster. During her time working in Boston Manor House and William Hogarth’s House, she focused on encouraging the connection between communities and their diverse local histories by implementing new ways for community members and visitors to engage with their history, art, and stories.
Travis Gilbert is a public historian, preservationist, and non-profit executive with a decade of experience interpreting the story of North Carolina. He received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland, and his previous roles include executive director of the Historic Wilmington Foundation, Educator for the Old Baldy Foundation, and Manager of the Lower Cape Fear Historical Society. Gilbert is a trustee of the Thalian Hall Center for the Performing Arts, serving as chair of the archives committee, and is a proud color bearer member of the American Battlefield Trust.
